Six priests have been appointed as new Area Deans in the Diocese following the change in the number of our deaneries from thirteen to six.
Jacqueline Humphreys, a Barrister in Bristol, has been appointed as our new Chancellor. The appointment was made by Bishop John following the approval of the Lord Chancellor.
The Revd Alison Maddocks has been appointed as our Dean of Smaller Churches, a new post funded by the national Church.
The consultation into the simplification of deaneries has now closed and following feedback, the Pastoral Order has been revised. A new deanery structure will come into effect on 1 February 2020.
