Ordinations 2023

Published: 9th May 2023

Last years' deacons with the bishopsThis year’s ordinations will take place over the weekend of 1 and 2 July.

Curates who have completed their first year of training will be ordained Priest on Saturday 1 July at 2pm. After their ordination, they will be able to preside at Holy Communion. Those entering curacy will be ordained Deacon at 10.30am on Sunday 2 July and will begin stipendiary (paid) or non-stipendiary (voluntary) roles in parishes across the Diocese.

All of those being ordained this weekend will have undergone a process of discernment to understand that this is the particular vocation that God has called them to.
