In 2022, the benefice of Church Lench w Rous Lench & Abbots Morton & Harvington managed to pay their Ministry Share in full, helped with a grant from the Ministry Support Fund. Read more about their story.
David Morris to become Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Abberley, Shrawley & Witleys and the Benefice of Teme Valley North, working alongside neighbouring benefices as part of the emerging Rural Mission Area.
James Treasure to become Rector and Sarah Carwardine to be Vicar in the Dudley Team. Both are based at Top Church.
Bishop John is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Ian Perry as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Inkberrow, Cookhill, Kington and Dormston.
Rich Johnson, Vicar of All Saints in Worcester is to be the new National Leader of New Wine, a network of evangelical churches in England. Rich will take on the role from May. He will be seconded to New Wine for 45% of his time while continuing to work in our Resourcing Church for the other 55%.
The Diocese has become a member of the Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers (ACAT), enabling treasurers to join ACAT at no cost to their parish and access their range of advice.
Since opening in 1959, the church hall had only basic tea and coffee making facilities, but this has now all changed with a brand new fitted kitchen!
Gather is a new partnership between a Church of England Primary School and their local church. It is a monthly act of worship immediately after school for children and their parents/ carers which uses elements with which the children will already be familiar from school.

St Martin’s Church, London Road, Worcester, has expanded its ‘Pop-ins’ coffee morning to provide a warm space for local people to come and meet together as well as a chance to share a soup lunch.

Great Malvern Priory used leftover Christingle oranges to create some limited-edition Christingle Marmalade which was then sold to raise money for the church!
Plough Sunday was marked in rural parishes across the Diocese yesterday with the blessing of the plough and prayers for our farmers.
Groups of people in Malvern have knitted three Nativity sets to give to Care Homes this Christmas. They are about five or six inches high and were packed into shoe boxes for storage so they can be used from year to year.
A £1,500 grant has been awarded to the bell ringers of St Michael’s Church to enable them to buy equipment that allows them to practice in silence and as individuals outside of group gatherings.
Congratulations to St Peter’s Church in Pedmore who have achieved their silver Eco Church award from A Rocha. The church were delighted to receive the award before Christmas after submitting all their evidence.
