Over 100 people visited St Bartholomew’s Church in Tardebigge on Sunday 26 May to enjoy a special service of Evensong led by a ‘Come and Sing’ choir of people from Redditch and the surrounding area.
The Church of England in the West Midlands held the inaugural meeting of its Racial Justice Board on Thursday 2 May. This pivotal gathering united representatives from six dioceses to address racism and champion racial justice within the Church, society, and our communities.

‘YouNite’ is a new youth group for 10 to 18-year-olds in Evesham which has been set up as an ecumenical collaboration between different churches in the town. It is currently attracting around 25 young people each Friday evening.
The Revd Dr Evie Vernon O’Brien has been appointed as the Racial Justice Director for the Church of England in the West Midlands. In the first collaborative project of its kind, from July Evie will work across six dioceses.
A small group from the Flyfords group of Churches, just outside Pershore, met on 28 April for their first walking church.
A number of churches across the Diocese overpay their Ministry Share as a way of supporting other parishes, with these extra contributions forming part of the Ministry Support Fund.
