On Sunday 22 June, Animato, the children's choir who rehearse each Thursday in Leigh church, joined with the extended Leigh Church Choir (Leigh Singers) for a concert in Leigh Church.
Rector of the Worcestershire West Rural Team Anne Potter said:
"It was lovely hearing a programme of secular and sacred music filling the church with voices of young and old. We even had a grandmother and granddaughter singing in their respective choir.
Each choir sang on their own songs, then joined together for Dona Pacem, a medley from My Fair Lady and Rutter's 'The Lord bless you and keep you', with Claire Daffern and Alan Soper conducting. The concert, which was attended by around 100 people, was followed by cream teas, or pimms and cake in the churchyard, thanks to the lovely weather."
