St Barnabas CE Primary Harvest Festival

St Barnabas CE Primary in Worcester held a whole school harvest festival at St Barnabas Church this week. The service included the presentation of certificates to the winners of a harvest poetry and art competition which was run by the Church for children at the school.

This week marks Baby Loss Awareness Week, and Mel Beynon takes a moment to reflect upon the profound emotions parents experience during childbirth - both the moments of joy and sometimes the heartbreak. Prior to becoming ordained, Mel dedicated 20 years of her life to midwifery, including serving as a bereavement midwife.

New organ at Pershore Abbey

Free training on running a legacy campaign this Autumn

Retirement of Archdeacon Robert

The Archdeacon of Worcester, Robert Jones will retire on 30 November. There will be a chance to say goodbye and thank you to Robert at Evensong in the Cathedral at 4pm on 19 November.

10 new Deacons ordained

Ten candidates were ordained as Deacons on Sunday to serve in parishes across the Diocese. The candidates have been part of a new training pathway aimed at those who see their vocation as being non-stipendiary (voluntary) ministers to churches in their local area.
