The Bishop’s Certificate course, exploring the bible and theology, will start again this autumn in both Dudley and Worcester areas of the diocese.
Rector of the Brierley Hill Team and Area Dean of Greater Dudley, David Hoskin, has adapted the liturgy used at the launch of ‘Praying for Growth’, turning it into a short service of the word which he has used at Christ Church, Quarry Bank.
The West Worcester Beacon Team (Hallow, Grimley, Holt & Lower Broadheath) started their new worshipping community, ‘Wild Church’ at Holt Church last Spring. Each month, people gather to worship God outside, whatever the weather, and they have worked with a local charity, Wildgoose, who have created a number of benches for people to use.
The monthly family service at Holy Trinity, Belbroughton, just outside Stourbridge, is thriving thanks to the addition of a new children’s choir linked to Belbroughton CE Primary School.
On Saturday 9 September, sponsored cyclists, walkers, drivers and riders across Worcestershire & Dudley will be visiting as many churches as they can to raise money for the local Historic Churches Trust. Will you be taking part?
