Ordinations 2019

Over the weekend of 22/23 June, 16 people will be ordainedto serve in parishes across the Diocese.

On Saturday, 12 candidates will be ordained priest in theCathedral, having completed their first year in their parishes; they are nowable to preside at the Holy Communion. A further 4 candidates will be ordaineddeacon on Sunday and are entering their first year of training as a curate.

Bishop John will ordain both the priests and the deacons,supported by Bishop Graham. Bishop David Wilbourne, Honorary Assistant Bishopin the Diocese of York, is preaching at both services, having led thepre-ordination retreat for candidates.

Ordained deacon:

  • Francis Moloney, serving at HolyTrinity, Redditch
  • Jonny Gordon, serving at Great Malvern
  • Sarah Bardell, serving the Benefice of Dudley
  • Victoria Barlow, serving StMatthias & St George, Astwood Bank and The Bridge, Headless Cross

  • Adam Hadley, serving at St Thomas in Stourbridge
  • Andy Smith, serving Worcester, St Nicholas &All Saints with St Helen
  • Janet Hatton, serving at St John, Bromsgrove
  • Jen Denniston, serving in the WestWorcestershire Rural Team Ministry
  • Jo Williamson, serving in Broadway, Evesham
  • Julia Quinn, serving in Stourport on Severn andWilden
  • Peter Myres, serving in the Chase Team, Malvern(St Andrews & All Saints, Malvern Wells & Wyche)
  • Richard Hackett, serving at Holy Trinity, OldHill
  • Robin Parry, serving in the Worcester South EastTeam
  • Timothy Hupfield, serving in East Vale and AvonVillages (Badsey with Aldington & Offenham & Bretforton)
  • Stephen Dunton, serving Pershore with Pinvin,Wick & Birlingham
  • Sue Adeney, serving in Upton-on-Severn, Ripple,Earls Croome w Hill Croome & Strensham
