Creating digital content for Christmas using free resources

Mel Beynon, Curate in the Halas Team, spent an afternoon exploring the free resources available from the Church of England and found them to be really helpful.

The Church of Engand Resources Youtube channel features quick how-to-guides and inspirational talks to support you with evangelism and discipleship, digital communications, giving and generosity, church leadership, fresh expressions, environmental programs, life events and more.

After browsing the collection of training videos, Mel said, "They’re in a friendly style with clear instructions and tips on how to do lots of different things, such as use A Church Near You to its fullest, set up and use a church Instagram account, or add a QR code to a Canva design. They’re also in really short chunks of a few mins each, so they’re easy to dip in and out of, and you can search for a topic you’re interested in."

The Church of England's "Digital Labs" is a hub of free resources, news and events to support digital evangelism and digital discipleship in your church. In the run up to Christmas, be sure to check out the blogs to help you with planning your digital content throughout Advent and get your ACNY page set up with your Christmas services and events. See links below.

Mel added, "I’ll certainly be looking at the resources again, with all the information on using social media for evangelism and discipleship, I already feel I’ve learnt something!"
