Coming off the At Risk Register

Explore connections at Hampton Lovett Church

Visitors to St Mary and All Saints’ Church in Hampton Lovett this weekend will be able to see a specially created miniature railway in the church, complete with a scale model of the church and other landmarks which would have been seen in the local area in the 1940s.

'Experience Dudley' at Top Church expands following successful pilot

‘Experience Dudley’ is a faith, community and heritage project that started as a pilot at Top Church in 2022, partnering with one local school. Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, this year staff have been able to expand it to partner with three local schools, reaching close to 1000 children.

Grants to help with church repairs

Hidden history being uncovered at Great Malvern Priory

At Great Malvern Priory, the nave floor is currently being levelled so that people will no longer trip up and fall off the pew plinths that were left there when the Victorians restored the church. As part of the work, the Priory had a visit from Victoria Bryant, the diocesan Archaeological Advisor.

St John’s Church in Bromsgrove has been awarded a grant by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to repair the top of the spire and further engage visitors in the building’s heritage.

Parish Council discretionary grants for churches

A change to the law which came into effect on 26 December should make it easier for PCCs to apply to parish councils for funding for items such as churchyard maintenance and clock maintenance.

Solar panels planned for Rous Lench church

St Peter’s Church in Rous Lench, just outside Evesham, has been given permission to install solar panels on the roof of their Grade 1 listed church. The panels will be part of a major project to reimagine the church as a multi-purpose community space, with the parish ensuring the project is as environmentally friendly as possible.
