Wedding fayre at St John's Church, Halesowen

some of the dresses and suits on display at the wedding fayreFor the first time ever, St John's Church Halesowen recently hosted a wedding fayre.

The church was inundated with companies who wished to display their services and had a collection of wedding couples come to have a look around. 

There were even had quite a few vintage wedding dresses on display!A couple of the helpers at the wedding fayre underneath a balloon arch

Each couple were offered a 'goodie bag' and a glass of fizzy elderflower as they looked around the different stalls inside the church.

One couple said: "We didn't know we could get married in church," and another said: "We've never been inside this church, it's beautiful!"

Two vintage wedding dresses and a wedding suitRector of the Halas Team, Hazel Charlton, said:

"We want to thank our events team for this idea and especially Sue Harding who worked so hard to make this dream come true. We want to share that dream with all who would like to get married in church and let couples know they are welcome."
