Sharing Christmas cheer!

On Saturday, 1 December, the diocesan Childrens and YouthCouncils will be in Worcester city centre offering to pay for car parking andgiving out sweets to shoppers.

Childrens Officer, Emma Pettifer, said: Weve donesomething similar before and its always a great way to start the Christmasseason. Its an opportunity to give something back to the people of Worcesterand for our young people to have an experience of giving while not expectinganything back in return.

However, it can be quite a challenging activity. Peopledont understand why wed want to pay for their parking and they definitelydont like taking sweets from children! Its good for us to persevere though asits a great way to spread a bit of Christmas cheer at the start of Advent.
