Diocesan Director of Property, Ruth Beard has become an Associate Professional with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) following the completion of an assessment process.
The qualification means she can now compile specific reports for property transactions rather than needing to use external consultants.
During the past year, Ruth kept a written record of work that showed she met certain ‘competency’ requirements. She also had to put together a case study of a recent work project, and undertake 48 hours of relevant CPD. This evidence was signed off by a Fellow of RICS counsellor and submitted for final assessment.
Ruth said: “I’m delighted to have passed this qualification which means I am now a RICS Associate Professional, able to use the RICS professional designation AssocRICS, and bound by the RICS Rules of Conduct. Within the surveying industry it means I am qualified, regulated and trusted to be able to write reports for property disposals and other transactions. It will be hugely beneficial for my work in the Diocese.”
Congratulations Ruth!
