New role for the Revd David Morris

David MorrisBishop John is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd David Morris as Priest in Charge of the Benefice of Abberley, Shrawley & Witleys and the Benefice of Teme Valley North, known locally as The Four Rivers, working alongside neighbouring benefices as part of the emerging Rural Mission Area.

David is currently Rector and Rural Ministry Enabler in The Bowbrook Group in this Diocese and Chairman of the Chaplaincy to Agricultural and Rural Life (CARL).  He is married to Kerry, who teaches German and Business at Worcester Sixth Form College. They have two adult daughters, Hannah and Abigail.

Bishop Martin will license David on Sunday 30 July at 4.00pm at St Mary’s Church, off Suffolk Lane, Abberley WR6 6BP.

Please remember David and Kerry in your prayers at they prepare to move.

Bishop Martin visited the church of St Peter and St Paul in Rock on Sunday to celebrate the creation of the Muddy Boots Mission Area. As part of the service, people from across the 26 churches in the area committed to praying and working together.
