New role for Shaun Armstrong

Shaun ArmstrongBishop John has announced the appointment of The Revd Shaun Armstrong as Priest in Charge of Churchill-in-Halfshire with Blakedown and Broome, to be also Assistant Curate (to be known as Associate Priest) in the Benefice of Kidderminster Ismere with special responsibility for Cookley, Wolverley and Upper Arley.

Shaun is currently serving as Assistant Curate in the Kidderminster Ismere Team in this Diocese.

Prior to ordination, Shaun served as a police officer and later spent ten years in the NHS as a resgistered mental health nurse.  He is married to Kamila and they have a son, Shay (aged 10).

Shaun’s Licensing will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 10 July at St James’ Church, Churchill-in-Halfshire.

Please remember Shaun, Kamila and Shay in your prayers as they prepare to move.

Clergy and others gathered at St Helen’s Church in Worcester for a day on exploring the mission opportunities of new housing developments. Speakers spoke about the process that new developments go through, how churches can get involved and different ways in which churches can come alongside those in new homes and help to build community.
