New Rector for Hagley & Clent

The Bishop of Worcester is pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Thomas Owen as Rector of the Benefice of Hagley and Clent.  

Tom is currently serving as Assistant Curate of St Andrew’s Sneyd Green in the Diocese of Lichfield.  He is married to Robyn, an administrator and benefits coordinator for a local charity, and they have two young children, Anah (aged 7) and Jacob (aged 5).

Bishop Martin will license Tom on Thursday 5 December at 7.00pm at St John’s Church, Hagley.

Please remember Tom and Robyn and their family in your prayers as they prepare to move.

Clergy and others gathered at St Helen’s Church in Worcester for a day on exploring the mission opportunities of new housing developments. Speakers spoke about the process that new developments go through, how churches can get involved and different ways in which churches can come alongside those in new homes and help to build community.
