In Malvern in late June, if you walk along Church street you will hear the laughter and singing of children and see adults dressed in white habits - you might ask yourself what is going on!
For one week only 'Lifepath' descends on the Priory, this is an event which is run by volunteers from many local churches in Malvern and further afield and it attracts hundreds of Primary School pupils from local schools, where they spend a day focusing upon the way in which Aldwyn established the Priory as a centre of prayer, worship, healing, hospitality, art and music, at the heart of life in Medieval Malvern.
During the week we explore the way in which the lifestyle of the medieval monks was shaped by their Christian faith, as well as learning about how that same faith affects people's 'lifepath' in 21st century Malvern. We do this through Activity Groups (including spinning shepherds, monastery kitchen and medieval medicine) as well as Collective Worship together with drama and singing.
There are many different roles for volunteers during the week, from serving refreshments, the welcome team, pilgrim guide or activity group leaders and assistants and there is still time if you would like to be involved.
