Connecting faith with the digital age

Would your church like some help in connecting with your community online?

Outdated websites, quiet social media, and a lack of digital know-how can make it tough. The diocesan communications team is working with Nexus Creative to offer practical support and resources to empower your church to thrive in today's digital world.

Why should your church get in touch?

Simply put, a strong online presence is no longer optional. It's essential for reaching new people, especially younger generations, and strengthening your connection with your existing congregation.

We can help you:

  • Increase your church’s visibility by driving traffic to your website and social channels.
  • Improve your online communication to help share your message of faith effectively and creatively.
  • Gain essential digital skills and learn how to manage your church’s online presence confidently.

What support is available?

  • Training Sessions: Over the last year, Nexus Creative has been running sessions to equip church leaders with practical skills. Learn how to create eye-catching marketing materials using Canva, master creative content creation and storytelling, and navigate various social media platforms.
  • Resource Library: Access helpful guides, templates, and training materials, plus a YouTube channel with recordings of past sessions, ensuring ongoing support.
  • Tailored Support: We're here to provide personalised guidance and help you take ownership of your digital communication.

Churches supported

We have supported churches across the Diocese including:

  • Kidderminster Ismere, where increased website traffic and social media engagement have contributed to a rise in church attendance.
  • St Thomas Stourbridge, where a successful video strategy, alongside improved social media engagement, boosted Christmas service attendance by an estimated 200 people in 2023.
  • The parish of Teme Valley South, who recently launched their brand new, user-friendly website, providing a valuable platform for the parish community.

By providing practical support, targeted training, and valuable resources, partnership between Nexus Creative and the diocesan communications team is helping churches connect with their communities and strengthen their online presence.
