The Brierley Hill team held a number of different services and activities to engage their community over the Easter weekend. Here, Licensed Lay Minister, Tracey Skidmore shares some of what happened:
“On Friday, St Michael's Church in Brierley Hill and Bank Street Methodist hosted Good Friday worship, led by the Revd Val Houghton from St Michael's along with several other denominations from the Churches Together in Brierley Hill.
The worship began at Bank Street Methodist, continuing with a walk of witness through Brierley Hill where hot cross buns were distributed, stopping along the way to read the Passion readings and finishing at St Michael's where a soup lunch was served.
“On Saturday St John's Church, Brockmoor hosted an egg hunt for the community with breakfast and crafts that helped to tell the Easter story and on Sunday St John's held a memorial service with Flowering the Cross as a symbol of Christ's victory over the Cross and death.”
