Book now for our Conference for Smaller Churches on October 9th

Published: 21st August 2024

Leaders and volunteers involved in any of the 150 smaller churches in our diocese are warmly invited by Bishop Martin and Alison Maddocks to attend our one-day Conference for Smaller Churches, where we will be celebrating all that smaller churches do in our communities.

We will be creating space for church teams, both clergy and laity, to share the joys, challenges and learning in ministering to a smaller congregation.

Bishop Martin will open the conference and some members of the diocesan support team will introduce topics of interest for discussion. We will hear news from a group of three benefices that are sharing resources and working together in a single Rural Mission Area. There will be input from parishes that are setting up New Worshipping Communities and working with Children and Young People, and we will find out how parishes are responding to becoming eco churches too.

Date: Wednesday 9 October, 9.30am – 4.00pm

Location: The Pear Tree Inn Country Hotel, Hindlip, Worcester, WR3 8SY

There is ample parking on site and lunch and refreshments will be provided.

To book, please fill in the booking form here: https://forms.office.com/e/CdD0dmpz2X or call the Diocesan office on 01905 732822.
