A safeguarding update

Well done to all those involved in safeguarding throughout the Diocese who have enabled us to be the first diocese to have all parishes using the safeguarding dashboard!

Read more information about this and a general update from the safeguarding team below:

THANK YOU!

Congratulations to all our Safeguarding Dashboard users – we are the first diocese in the country to have every single parish signed up to, and using the dashboard. This is such a terrific achievement and is thanks to the willingness and commitment of our PSO’s and their teams in each and every parish. Thank you all.

New email address

There is a new general email address which can be used to contact the safeguarding team. We intend to pilot the use of this over the coming months, hoping that it will make it easier for you to contact us. There is also a referral form which can be sent to us with your email to outline the concern that you require support with. Download this referral form and save this for your own use, or share in parishes as needed.

Dashboard updates

There have been some small changes to requirements on the dashboard recently to remain in line with newer policies. More details will be in the notes from the recent PSO meeting. Contact Delia Stokes if you require support with this.

Safer recruitment resource

There is a brand new video available for use to support the new Safer Recruitment and People management policy. It stars 2 of our own PSO’s, and some coverage of local activities. It is a valuable resource in helping to understand the importance of our recruitment processes. Watch the video on YouTube.
