The Government has confirmed a further year’s extension to the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme, though with a new claim cap of £25,000 per place of worship.
Bishop Martin is calling for the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme to be extended past the current deadline of March 2025. He has written to local MPs setting out the difference that the scheme makes to our churches.

St John’s Church in Bromsgrove has been awarded a grant by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to repair the top of the spire and further engage visitors in the building’s heritage.
A change to the law which came into effect on 26 December should make it easier for PCCs to apply to parish councils for funding for items such as churchyard maintenance and clock maintenance.
St Peter’s Church in Rous Lench, just outside Evesham, has been given permission to install solar panels on the roof of their Grade 1 listed church. The fourth ‘Fit for Function’ Church Buildings Conference took place earlier this month with over 40 people attending from parishes across the Midlands (and even as far away from The Wirral)!
