The process of appointing a new Dean of Worcester continues to move forward with confirmation of the names of those who will sit on the panel.
There is a tradition of blessing chalk at Epiphany to mark the threshold of our homes with a new year blessing.

Bishop John has appointed Andrew Sillis to be the new Area Dean of Greater Dudley Deanery and Gary Crellin to be the new Area Dean of Malvern and Upton Deanery.
St Peter’s Church in Rous Lench, just outside Evesham, has been given permission to install solar panels on the roof of their Grade 1 listed church. The panels will be part of a major project to reimagine the church as a multi-purpose community space, with the parish ensuring the project is as environmentally friendly as possible.

Rosie Moss and Kim Topham have been appointed as co-Deans of Self-Supporting Ordained Ministers (SSMs) for the Diocese. They are taking over from previous Dean of SSMs, Alex Vaccaro.
There’s a new look to the Worcester Deanery Leadership Team with Sue Roulstone from Christ Church, Lower Broadheath becoming their new Lay Chair and Rob Pearce moving to be Treasurer. The team have been working with the deanery synod to develop a vision for the deanery.
Church @ 4 is a cafe style New Worshipping Community run by St Leonard’s Church in Beoley to the north-east of Redditch. It has been running since May and takes place monthly, at the YMCA Willow Trees Community Centre in Church Hill, Redditch.
Norton Juxta Kempsey and Whittington Church of England Primary Schools have been working with iSingPop to host two intergenerational workshops where parents, grandparents, and members of the local community have come into school to learn Christmas songs and dances alongside the children.
To celebrate the feast of Christ the King, confirmations were held at the Cathedral last Sunday with people from parishes across the diocese being confirmed by Bishop John.
