Prayer for Peru

Mission Development Officer, Doug Chaplain, has received the following request from our friends in Peru.

"Just a quick messageto ask prayers for this weekend as the Peruvian nation goes to thepoll in local elections. Sunday is voting day so we are not able to have publicmeetings including church so our Sunday morning service in Shalom will be onSaturday afternoon.

"The population are voting for local mayors and a centralmayor in Lima.

"There are so many candidates and not many viableoptions - people are undecided. This week has beenchaotic with political meetings closing main streets causing traffic problemsand vans with loud speakers passing through the neighbourhood with theirmanifesto chants.

"So please pray for calm during the voting process and forthose who will be voted into office."
