Members of churches in Pershore and the surrounding villages have responded to an appeal for care gifts for A&E staff at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Sara Speed from Pershore Abbey said:
"There has been an amazing response to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital Appeal for gifts for the A&E staff.
The combined efforts of the four churches in the Pershore Benefice, plus Eckington, the Combertons, Elmley Castle and Bricklehampton meant that in less than four weeks we had collected: 216 hand creams, 202 x lip balms, 70 x moisturisers, four bags of other toiletries, 35 x boxes chocolates/biscuits, two large bags of chocolate snack bars and two bags of packets of biscuits.
These gifts were delivered to Nicola Langford, Community Fundraising Officer at WRH, together with £100 kindly donated by the Little Comberton Sports & Social Club. With Nicola’s approval, a further two bags of chocolates and biscuits were delivered to the Worcester Ambulance Station.
A huge “THANK YOU” to everyone concerned for their generous support."
