Parish Buying launches hygiene, cleaning and PPE supplies

Published: 5th June 2020

Parish buying logoParish Buying (the buying service set up by the Church of England and Church in Wales) have launched ranges of hygiene, cleaning and PPE supplies with preferential rates negotiated with national suppliers.

These ranges are designed to support parishes as they look to reopen churches, when permitted and safe to do so, recognising the need to provide a safer environmental for worshippers, visitors and staff in the ‘new normal’ of life post Covid-19.

Many items are standard products which will often be most cost-effective when bought in bulk. Rather than each church purchasing alone, centralised purchasing in parishes and benefices could encourage significant savings to be made.

Larger and fixed items such as sanitizer dispensers or floor markers for social distancing may need permission under the Faculty Rules to be installed. Before committing to any purchases, please contact me to discuss any permissions required.

The range can be viewed and purchased from Parish Buying’s site https://www.parishbuying.org.uk/categories/covid-19-supplies
