Former town planner, Nathan Conway has been appointed to bethe new Operations Director at Top Church in Dudley. Nathan will take the lead in setting up thechurch of St Thomas and St Luke as a resourcing church, so it can best supportthe local community and help more people to come to faith.
Nathan will work with others from both the church and thediocese to ensure that IT and accounting systems are in place and that thechurch has effective HR policies. He will also be take responsibility for thedevelopment of the building to ensure it is fit for purpose as a modern worshipspace while continuing to care for the historical elements. Before joining TopChurch Nathan worked as a Town Planning consultant in Birmingham.
Nathan said: I had been thinking for a while about how Imight use my skills and experience to serve the church and help people discoverfaith. When I saw the advert for Operations Director at Top Church it seemedlike a unique opportunity to make a difference by working with a new vibrant,outward-looking church in a historic building.
Im looking forward to sharing the good news of the Gospelwith the people of Dudley. Top Church is a beautiful listed building and althoughit will be a challenge to ensure it is practical for a modern church focussedon mission, its really exciting to be part of the resourcing church from thevery start.
Nathan began as Operations Director in December.
