Kalantha Brewis to move to the Diocese of Oxford

Head and shoulders shot of Kalantha Brewis stood in front of an open window looking out into a gardenArea Dean of Worcester, Kalantha Brewis will be leaving her roles in our diocese to become Lead Diocesan Director of Ordinands for the Diocese of Oxford.

Kalantha is currently Rector of Hallow, Grimley with Holt and Lower Broadheath alongside her Area Dean role as well as an Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands in our diocese.

Kalantha said:

"I’m delighted to have been appointed as Lead DDO for the Diocese of Oxford, with a challenge to increase both the number and diversity of people entering pathways to ordained and lay ministries. I’ve loved my work in discernment and vocational development here in Worcester, so this call feels exciting as well as somewhat daunting.

"I have been enormously blessed to have lived and ministered in this Diocese, both as a licensed lay minister, and since my ordination in 2016 as one of our parish clergy, more recently also as an ADDO and now as Area Dean for Worcester. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been given and for the immense privilege of living as a parish priest, and as part of such a supportive Chapter."

Do pray for Kalantha in this new phase of her ministry.
