St Andrews and All Saints Churches in Malvern have developed a free interactive treasure hunt around the town and hills, which can be completed any time between 1 and 17 April.
Participants download an app which shows a series of video clues to each location with questions and puzzles to solve along the way.
Dave Bruce, Rector of the churches said: “All you need to take part in this treasure hunt is a mobile phone and a good pair of shoes! It’s a chance for people to learn more about the Easter story in a fun way and really imagine what it might have been like to have been in Jerusalem when Jesus was arrested, crucified and rose again. Anyone is welcome to play along, whether you are old or young, in a family, with friends, or on your own. It is completely free to take part, just download the app from our website – and there are prizes on offer too!”
The treasure hunt starts at St Andrew’s Church in Poolbrook. From there participants are sent to different locations in Malvern and on the hills, where each bit of the story will be told, finally ending up at British Camp Car Park, where people can refuel with refreshments from the café and claim a small prize for completing the trail.
