‘Inspiring’, ‘engaging’, ‘informative’, these were responses from participants in the Introduction to Prayer Ministry morning held at St George’s Church, Kidderminster on 21 June, organised by members of the Worcester Diocesan Healing Advisory Group.
As those present considered whether healing prayer ministry is central to the work of the Kingdom or a ‘niche’ ministry within the church, they looked, in the first session of the morning, at how Jesus healed people and communities, interspersing Gospel stories with examples of God healing today.
One participant wrote about the second session:
"Particularly powerful was the emphasis on intentional prayer and the difference it makes, which was experienced by many who were there on the day."
Some of those who attended hoped to inspire their clergy and church councils to consider healing prayer ministry in their contexts. Some used the opportunity to receive personal prayer ministry with trained prayer ministers.
