Hazel Charlton, while remaining Team Rector of the Halas Team, will be moving to take responsibility for St John’s Halesowen.
A date for an inaugural service will be announced in due course and Hazel hopes to move house in August.
The national church has agreed to provide funding for investment in mission and ministry at St John’s as part of the diocesan vision to grow as Kingdom People. Hazel will be leading that renewal programme, and to make time for this will be stepping down from her diocesan roles as Dean of Women’s Ministry and as Chaplain to the Bishop of Dudley.
Steps to recruit a new Team Vicar with responsibility for Lapal and Romsley will begin immediately.
