All Saints in Sedgley invited their baptism and toddlerfamilies to a Teddy Bears' Picnic, lots of fun was had by teddies and familiesalike.
Calling Young Disciples, Mission Enabler, Helen Laird, helped the parish to organise the picnic. She said:
"We had lots of fun with our play food! We heard the story of WereGoing on a Bear Hunt and then actually had an interactive walk through of thestory - we walked through dangly green things as grass, we paddled in shallowrather than deep water, some were brave enough to squelch in the mud (chocolatepowder, cornflour & water), then braved the deep dark forest which was bushtrimmings attached to reduced gazebo frame, then onto the cotton woolsnowstorm,
followed by a crawl through a play tunnel and then a tiptoe into thedark cave, where they found a bear and then ran up the church and under aparachute as the bedclothes.
We then had a lovely picnic of sandwiches and someteddy bear cakes, we heard how God can be found in all situations and endedwith some singing and a bubble blessing.
The church family were joined by23 families for this event, and we all had greatfun, one parent said it Was a lovelymorning thank you for having us! Milo had a great time. We are planning to do` something similar next year"
