A new kitchen for St John's Church, Greenlands, Redditch

Kitchen at St John's churchThe church hall at St John's Church in Greenlands, Redditch was officially opened in 1959, and although it was equipped with basic tea and coffee making facilities, hall users were unable to prepare and provide hot food.

However, thanks to the hard work and generosity of church members, plus funding from The Benefact Trust, Tesco Community Grants Scheme and The Heart of England Community Foundation, this has all changed! The church now has a brand new fitted kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, oven and fridge/freezer!

The facilities are now in full use, and have already provided hot food and drinks for a variety of activities, including St John’s new monthly Cafe Church, which has been a great success, drawing in people from the local community.
