A new book from Wyn Beynon

Published: 22nd January 2023

Wyn with his new bookWyn Beynon, Non-Stipendiary Minister for the parishes of Churchill-in-Halfshire w Blakedown & Broome and Belbroughton and Fairfield has published a new book.

‘For This I Came’ offers seventy reflections on the spirituality of priesthood to encourage and sustain all in ministry. Rooted in scripture and poetry, it richly affirms the nature of the ordained life, and reflects both on the springs of wisdom that sustain it, and its outward expression in loving service and spiritual growth for the good of all.

The book’s forward has been written by Bishop John and says:

“It is as if Wyn were opening the door of his house and saying, ‘Welcome! Come on in. Please enjoy everything you see here. And if something takes you fancy, help yourself, feel free to take it away – it’s yours.’ Wyn is not trying to tell his reader what to think or believe, rather he is prompting, provoking even, the reader to think for her or himself and in the process to explore their faith. He draws on his forty years of experience and prayer. He is open, honest, intimate. He clearly believes with a passion that the calling of a Christian is to live life undefended because this is how Jesus lived his life, this is the life of resurrection.”
