Women's Ministry

The Revd Becky ElliotThe Revd Becky Elliot, vicar of Holy Trinity and St James in Malvern, became Dean of Women’s Ministry for the Diocese of Worcester in June 2023. She is an official advocate for women priests both locally and nationally whether they are in full-time stipendiary ministry or are self-supporting, learning about and representing their needs as well as facilitating networking and support.

As Dean of Women’s Ministry, Becky will represent and understand the needs of ordained women across the Diocese. She said:

"I was honoured when Bishop John asked me to take on this role. Women’s ministry has a really special place in the Church of England, but it is not always supported by everyone, and it remains important for there to be someone to champion their ministry and continue to encourage equality.”

Becky is a point of contact for all our female clergy and also organises meetings to give them a chance to come together to share any issues and socialise together.
