Do you have a heart for connecting new people to God through new ways of being church?

The Parish of Halas are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and inspiring individual to join us as our New Worshipping Communities Co-ordinator and help us explore the presence of God with people and places in our local communities.

In this exciting new full-time role, you will take the lead on our NWC priority:

  1. Support and develop new worshipping communities which primarily target those in the community.  Working with existing congregations and those we’ve yet to meet.
  2. Joining in with Churches Together Halesowen to lift the profile of St John’s church in the town.
  3. To become a training hub and resource to other churches in our diocese, to equip them launching their own NWCs.
  4. Champion discipleship, leading by example.  Creating and leading those seeking faith and supporting home groups.
  5. Provide oversight, within a team, for New Worshipping Communities within the Parish.
  6. Nurture and develop the gifts of others working with you.

If you are inspired to apply, we will be pleased to speak to you about the role. Call for an informal chat with the Revd Hazel Charlton, Rector on 07895 107095 after 19 August.

We want to give those who work for us the flexibility to balance their work and home lives well. We are privileged and excited to work together to bring the good news of Jesus to our communities across Halesowen and being a part of that is really special!
