Summary:

Could you be the next Ambassador for The Children’s Society in the Diocese of Worcester?

Job description:

Could you be the next Ambassador for The Children’s Society in the Diocese of Worcester?

The Children’s Society have a fantastic volunteer role known as a Diocesan Ambassador. This is an individual who supports the charity with its link to The Church of England, identifies new opportunities and helps to support existing supporters. Our most recent Worcester Diocesan Ambassador has sadly had to step down for personal reasons.

Diocesan Ambassador for the Exeter Diocese, Ann has told us “I’ve met some lovely people as Diocesan Ambassador, all trying to work together to make the world a better place for children and young people. Clergy, Church workers, other charity workers, MPs, Councillors - to name a few.  I have travelled to different areas of the Diocese meeting people and promoting the charity and I’ve always received wonderful support from The Children’s Society’s Community Relationships Manager for the region.  If you love meeting people and want to work with a charity who really cares, please do apply for this role”.

Claire McMinn, Community Relationship Manager – West Midlands said “We’d love to get someone into the Diocesan Ambassador role over the next few months, ready to join the West Midlands Ambassador Training Day at the end of August, and to share the understandings from the 2023 Good Childhood Report launching in September.  Some Diocesan Ambassadors like to cover the entire Diocese, where as others prefer to take responsibility for a smaller Archdeaconry area.”

If you’re able to network with a variety of people and want to bring hope back to the lives of children and young people in this country, then please consider becoming a Diocesan Ambassador for our Diocese.

A full Diocesan Ambassadors pack is available, and Claire would be happy to chat about the role in more detail via telephone or video conference.

Claire can be contacted on 07756 269 616 or by email on Claire.Mcminn@childrenssociety.org.uk.
