Adam Hadley has started a new evening service of Taize and Benediction at his church in Kingswinford and it's currently his fastest growing congregation.
A short video from 'Walking Church' in Teme Valley South filmed a couple of weeks ago. Julia Curtis and Robert Barlow explain why they set up the group and the opportunities that arise from church being in a different setting.
When some of the floor needed to be removed at St Edmund's, Dudley, it was an opportunity to see what history could be found underneath!
St Mary's Church Hanley Castle have a huge exhibition of Nativity sets from around the world on display in the church. The Churchwarden, Helen said, "The exhibition started about 10 years ago now. I was on holiday in Hanover and visited a church where there was a nativity exhibition going on and my friend encouraged me to start one here and the collection has just increased over time. There are at least 300 displays from about 70 different countries. "The story they're telling shows people that this story is universal. Some people come back every year because they say it's a great way to start Advent. So we look forward to seeing people visiting!"
Last Sunday St Nicholas Warndon held a special outdoor service of Remembering. Candles were lit and ribbons were tied to the ancient yew tree with names read out remembering loved ones no longer with us. Last year, due to Covid, the church moved the service outdoors and felt it worked so well, that they held it outside again this year.
