Jo Hyrons, Becky Lowe and Liz Toone form the HR team for the diocese. The team provides HR support for Parishes, Clergy and our colleagues at the Diocesan office.
Parish support
We support parishes by offering practical employment advice, access to a wealth of templates and bespoke training courses; all specifically tailored to the Church environment. Pick up the phone if you have an HR query! We can help you navigate the administrative and legislative burdens that employing staff can bring.
Clergy support
We try to create greater awareness of issues of clergy care and wellbeing. We are here as a helpdesk for HR queries and as part of a support team during absence or long term sickness. We are also responsible for the administration of the terms on which clergy hold their office under Common Tenure including issuing statement of particulars, the administration of clergy payroll, as well as removals and grants and the life assurance scheme.
