Working to be Net Zero

We are calling on all churches to, schools, and church related buildings - parsonages, halls, etc - to do all in their power to reduce their carbon emissions.

We are following General Synod's goal to reduce our emissions by a minimum of 90% by 2030 (compared to our baseline year).  We are counting all emissions from our energy consumption in our buildings,  as well as transport emissions from our business travel by staff and clergy.  We know this is a challenging goal but we have expert staff and growing experience to support everyone in making this a priority.

The Energy Footprint Tool

The Church of England's Energy Footprint Tool encourages churches around the country to enter their utility bills, and find out their "carbon footprint".
