The Easter story can be difficult to share with toddlers, but as the story is the foundation of faith in a risen Lord Jesus, we should try and tell the story in a child friendly way.
‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle allows us to talk about how Jesus appeared after he had died and looked different. The fact that Jesus rose again is a powerful reminder as to who Jesus the man who walked the earth truly was – the son of God.
This book links well, as the caterpillar who appeared out of the cocoon looked different, as he was now a butterfly. Jesus also appeared different after he rose from death.
