Boogie Bear by David Walliams

Children will begin to notice differences in people from a young age. It is really important for them to speak openly and honestly about those differences and for adults caring for them to also reassure them that whilst there are some differences we are all the same. Children who learn to respect diversity at a young age gain knowledge and understanding that can help them improve relationships, tackle prejudice and make positive decisions when they are older. Jesus shows us lots of examples in the Bible of how we should treat people. He also shows us that any kind of prejudice, racism, discrimination or simply treating people in a different way, is not acceptable. By sharing this with our families we can make an impact not only on their lives but the lives of others in our communities.
