A six your old once said ‘when your dad is his very goodest, he’s just a little bit like God’* – God is the perfect parent to us all. Prayer is talking to God just like children and parents talk to each other.
The Bible has plenty of examples, depicting God as a someone who loves and cares for us e.g. a shepherd of a flock of sheep (John10:11-18), or as a mother (Psalm 17:8). God wants us to talk with him through prayer. Prayer will help to build a family’s relationship with God.
