Separate provision for children during Sunday worship enables teaching to be specifically aimed at the children in the church family. These groups can be split by age or mixed-age groups, depending on space and the number of volunteers. Sunday provision can be based around the lectionary or a completely different programme written specifically for the children.
How to start Sunday morning provision for Children:
- See getting started pages, in the Prepare section i will not apply.
- Consider the format of the group, review what works best and reflect on this as the children grow and when the dynamics of the group change.
- Consider which resource materials will be used to plan each session.
- Ask the families who attend the church if they would like Sunday morning provision for their children. Also, consider Intergenerational worship/ Worship for All.
