Flyer for book launch with text on an orange background with a picture of a bird. All are welcome to the launch of: Fullness of Vision, Fullness of Life - The divided brain, improvisation and leadership in the Church, a new book from former Director of Ministry, Jonathan Kimber.

Monday 15 September, 7.30pm at St John in Bedwardine. Refreshments served from 7.00pm

Recent decades have seen a significant shift in emphasis when it comes to church ministry. The language of strategy, planning and targets has been welcomed by some, but treated with suspicion by others. Jonathan Kimber's new book offers a framework for making sense of these developments, and of the divergent reactions they evoke. What's more, that framework proves relevant to all of life, and not just to some specifics of church ministry.

Come and hear Jonathan in conversation with Doug Chaplin, along with some short excerpts from the book, some illustrative contributions from Jonathan's cello, and a chance for questions.

The book, Fullness of Vision, Fullness of Life, will be available for cash purchase on the night at £20, and Jonathan will be very happy to sign copies.

The Revd Canon Dr Jonathan Kimber is currently Interim Chaplain of King's College, Cambridge, from which he previously graduated in Mathematics, and was Director of Ministry and Discipleship for the Diocese of Worcester from 2015 to 2023.

This brilliant book is a must-read for all who care about the church... I have not read such a rich and helpful book on church leadership for years. John Inge, former Bishop of Worcester.

Informed by careful scholarship and clear thought, this urgent and important book paves the way for a new generation of church leadership which is holistic, integrated and mature. Stephen Cherry, Dean of Chapel, King's College, Cambridge.
