The Bible Unpacked

The Reverend Stephen Sealy will talk about the bible, and explore the scripture from some angles not often considered. * Who wrote the different books of the bible? * In what language was it first written? *How should we treat the various different types of writing, and what is it to say that the bible is 'divinely' inspired? * How should we approach difficult passages which may not be considered helpful today? The talk will cover cultural contexts, literary styles and spiritual application, and we shall look at some passages in greater depth. All are welcome. Please bring a bible
