Many lay ministers in the diocese (LLMs, ALMs and Eucharistic Ministers) are involved in taking the already consecrated Sacrament to people who are sick or housebound. Some times this is in the person’s own home, sometimes in residential care homes.

This workshop is an opportunity to look at the liturgy we use, and the different practical issues that crop up in different contexts. It is an opportunity to share good practice, ask questions and reflect on how we do it, and whether we can do it better.

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been doing it a long time (you will have a lot to share), or whether you’ve just started (you will have a lot of good questions). It may even be that you haven’t done this before, but have been asked if you can think about it.

Doug Chaplin will lead this workshop on Zoom, and offer some suggestions from his own parish experience, as well as facilitating us sharing one another’s wisdom.
