Lunchtime Learning – Faith in Poetry

Poetry has been and is a vehicle for prayer and spiritual expression both for those who read it and those who write it. Nicola Slee is a poet theologian who has published widely in the fields of theology, spirituality and poetry. She has wide experience of teaching, leading retreats and running workshops using poetry to explore different aspects of faith and theology.  Her most recent publication which includes poems and prayers, is Abba Amma: Improvisations on the Lord’s Prayer (Canterbury Press, 2022). 

Professor Slee is currently Professorial Research Fellow at the Queen's Foundation, Professor of Feminist Practical Theology at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, and Visiting Professor at the University of Chester.
