DBE: Creative RE for EYFS & KS1

This creative session will begin to develop RE teaching and delegates’ subject knowledge about a diverse range of faiths and world views, through reference to the arts and literature.

This session for EYFS and KS1 will begin to:
• offer ideas for active and engaging RE lessons which will help pupils to develop higher order thinking skills
• develop a range of creative and challenging activities which will enhance pupils’ religious and theological literacy
• explore opportunities to reflect on key questions and core concepts from a range of resources
• ensure that schools follow a coherent and systematic study of Christianity across each phase
• develop creative classroom-ready ideas to enhance teaching religion and world views including Understanding Christianity core concepts
• after lunch will be the opportunity to look at resources used by other schools.

This course runs in conjunction with Creative RE for KS2 & KS3 to be held on Tuesday 17th June 2025.
