Are you curious about faith, meaning, or what spirituality is? The Spirituality Gathering offers a warm, welcoming space to explore these questions with others.

We host /offer Gatherings three times a year:

  • Two in-person meetings at different venues across the Diocese
  • One online gathering so you can join from wherever you are

These are relaxed, informal meetings for “like-minded souls” who want to think more deeply about life, faith, and spirituality. Each gathering usually includes:

  1. A guest speaker sharing a particular theme or area of interest
  2. Time for questions and open discussion
  3. Space afterwards for informal conversation over refreshments

Recent themes have included:

  • Hope, holiness, and silence
  • The Daily Office
  • A Christian view of mindfulness

Our in-person gatherings are followed by an optional simple lunch, with more time to chat with others.

Everyone is welcome – whatever point you are at with your walk of faith. Meetings usually last about three hours. We invite contributions towards running costs, but there is no obligation to pay.

If you’d like to know more, or are interested in coming along, please contact us (The Revd Nigel Traynor  – revnigel36@gmail.com or Mary Flitcroft – maryba4s21@gmail.com).  Our meetings are also listed in the diocesan training and events programme.
